    Re: Sam Montgomery-DE?

Another thing to keep in mind is that SM's mom did not make the trip to Michigan and sources from SC are saying she is a major piece of the puzzle. His mom is expected to be on the rest of his visits with him.

Man, losing Lane is taking more of an effect on SM's recruitment than I originally thought. This kid REALLY like coach Lane. This race is gonna go down to the wire.

The transition over to Haley was a seamless one it appeared.

If you're referring to his comments after Michigan, we have no clue if that's just his personality to talk up everyone. That's my guess, however.

The kid is truly all over the place. We won't know what is the real deal with LSU and Montgomery until after his visit. The great CParso stated that 2 weeks ago. He was 100 % correct.

Some think it wasn't at seamless as it first sounded. He liked Haley, but he also says the loss of Lane definitely hurt LSU. Just saying...he isnt the hard LSU lean I once thought he was....more like everyone is now even. Its obviously all about the visit...and its gonna have to be a good one.

I thought that Lane was still with LSU.

    He is.

That's the part I don't get. I am glad you brought that up.

In fact, the Director of Player Development is stepping down (I think that's the position, but I can't find the reference). Who knows, maybe Lane could be in line for the job.

:geaux: Going to work with Sam Nader isn't he? Earlier postings said he may be in line to take over for Nader whenever he decides to retire. :LSU231:

    Yeah that was the word.

With this new opening, someone is going to have to fill it.

Damn, that didn't sound right, did it?
