I watched all the video I could of Davis and I didn't see that. From what I remember most of the highlights were of Davis running the play down from behind from his left end spot. The thing that struck me was that he was out of position. I blame that on his coach. If you've got a 6' 3" 225 lb. 4.5 40 all everything guy you don't put him on the end where the other team can run away from him. You put him in the middle, at middle linebacker. Maybe that's one of the reasons Woodlawn was 2-8 this year with most of the losses being blowouts. I really liked what I saw of Davis and I wonder if LSU was looking at him as that big dominate MLB ala Kelvin Sheppard and didn't get again this year.

Anyway, he played a dirty trick on LSU for no logical reason at all and he'll get no good wishes from me.

I graduated in 86. I remember Stan Humphries dismantling our defense when I was a Jr..

It would have been cool if Davis had went to LSU, but we'll be OK without him. I think he went where he thought there would be less competition for playing time. I never got to watch him play, but heard he was good.

    Thanks!

I've only seen him play twice and those were his Soph and Jr years, I didn't get a chance to catch him at all during his senior year, and to be honest he wasn't a impact player then. But I know the last time I seen him he got ALOT bigger muscle wise, idk if it was genetics or the fact that they worked him hard at WHS, all I know is our weight room didn't have shiet in there when i was in school from 04-07

Thats also one thing I noticed too when I saw him, I saw that he didnt use his hands much when rushing the passer, he would just zoom by the Tackle and chase the play down, most plays they would keep a TE or a full back in the formation to chip him and that was usually when his disappearance act began. With that said he had exceptional athletic ability with good coaching he should be okay. but after watching debo jones and kwon highlights I honestly dont think Shiro could be better than those two anyways, Shiro probbly saw that too thats why he bolted.
