Isnt holmes up on charges for hitting a kid is school...what a absolute war zone that school is...dont they have resource officers in Shreveport schools....
this is all being talked about in the thread on davis in the recruiting forum, but i will say what has been posted there. right after this initially was "broken" with a tweet on nsd, mo claiborne followed up with simply the statement "lies". you pick which player you want to believe. and since davis lied right up to announcement time, i'll go with mo. besides, logically ask yourself this... if that was the real reason, why not tell lsu you had decided to go elsewhere? if that was the reason, why play a game right up to taking the pen to the paper? sounds like an excuse to blame others for his own pathetic deceit to me.
I hate to say this. But, Woodlawn has definately gone way down. I graduated from Woodlawn and hate the fact that it is in such a depressed part of Shreveport. It did have its great times and has produced some tremendous talent. Bradshaw, Ferguson, Trey Prather, and Robert Parrish come to mind. The thing with this kid doesn't surprise me! I wish he would have stood by his commitment, but they can change their minds and often do. I also hate the fact that we have to put up with all the Dallas Cowgirl crap up here. I'm a Saints fan all the way. There are plenty of Saints fans here. It's quite a battle about what game will be shown on the local Fox affiliate.
They do! But, it's really bad there now! They have a flippin daycare there for the females students to keep their babies in while they are at school! Shameful!!! Not sure about Holmes being charged. I avoid local news like the plague!!!
Hate to tell you but recruits and coaches looking for inside info on the program have far better sources than internet message boards. If you are learning about your rumors on TF then you are pretty much the last to know. In this particular case Davis has made official and unofficial visits to LSU. He has meet almost every player and most likely has keep in touch with many of them. I would assume that would be his first line of info on how players feel about the program. I'm not saying players come right out and say they are unhappy but you can pick things up. In addition, several players were tweeting right after the game comments that did not seem to positive about the program. I think both those things far outshaddow something that TigerLover765 may have said on a message board.
I graduated from Woodlawn in '79. It was a great school then, the football team advanced to at least the quarterfinals of state playoffs every year I attended. It had great tradition and prestige. Now it is surrounded by a locked chain-link fence and I'd be too scared to walk my kids around the campus. It's a crying shame, but it is a direct reflection of what has happened to the whole of Shreveport. The riverboats was the fat lady singing for Shreveport.
As a matter of afact the Boats are probably helping the situation...it was the 30% unemployemnt in the 80-90's that killed shreveport.....the boats have brought that back down to the natl average or below since they came in the late 90's...not to mention tax revenues...shreveport governmet is just to corrupt to use them wisely ( see Bossier for a good example of how to use the revenue).....:geaux::LSU231::lsup:LSU!!twocrystals!:milesmic:
An the kids at tx are happy with the 12 games they dropped in the last two years? For LSU to have that many, you would have to start after the 2007 season through this one.
I coach. There are unhappy players on every team. Mainly the ones that are not playing or not getting as much playing as they think they should be. That's football. All players at this level feel they are the best and should be playing on the 1st team. Well, that can't happen at any level of football. You can't make everyone happy and this ain't Pop Warner.
