Looks like Miles and Co. are back at McGill-Toolen to try to real in another defensive player. :thumb:

Harbin played opposite of Sidell Corley, and racked up 75 tackles. Harbin and Corley look like they could be bookends once again on the same defense if we're able to get a commitment.

Harbin is listed about 10-15 lbs. lighter than Corley, but is taller if not mistaken.

With Corley's dad being the coach at Toolen, and his statements about Saban's first impressions not being that of good nature, it shouldn't surprise anyone if Miles' pipeline to Mobile continues--even with Saban entrenched at 'Bama.

It was Phelon's dad that made the comments. I never heard of Corley's dad making any about Saban.

He'd be a nice pick-up. I hope we get him.

He has already said Bama was the leader, but they already have a few DE commitments. Maybe that will sway his decision.

When did Corley's dad become the coach at McGill-Toolen?

My mistake. I knew it was ONE of the McGill-Toolen recruits who's dad was the coach...

He is an Assistant. Their old coach retired last season to head the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

I believe they promoted one of his long time assistants. I know Mr. Corley and Jones have minimal roles at the school and have only been there for a couple of years. They served as middles school coaches at St. Paul's for a number of years, though. (St. Paul's have 5 D-1 recruits this year and the Souths top QB for next year).

I asked someone today after reading AB's post and he said Corley's dad isnt paid and not part of the faculty at McGill-Toolen. He thought Mr. Corley was a part time volunteer. He also didnt think the head coach even had a kid on the team.

BTW...where you at St. Pauls in 2005? I live in Homewood. :yelwink2:

LOL... I've lived in Homewood since 1992 except for 2 years when I was setting up a new office in Mobile. We have about 6 or 7 other LSU alums that live in Homewood. I'm pretty involved at the high school. Homewood has played St. Pauls a few times in the playoffs. The last time in 2005 was the first time we went to St. Pauls though. Was a nice atmosphere there and we were treated really good by the St. Pauls people. We also had a good experience when St. Pauls came to Homewood. Classy fans and players.

Glad yall had a good time. We had no chance in those games if I remember correctly.

I know quite a few people from Homewood that attend LSU. I always thought that was a strange connection...guess not.
