Michigan & ND commits would be obvious possibilities.

Not only is ND sucking, but Clausen is officially the starter so I would be kind of suprised to see Crist sign there unless Clausen plays terribly at the end of the year.

I can see players feeling the heat also. With all the coaches on the hot-seat. Carr is pretty much out, a lost to Ohio State and he wont finish the year.
Assistants that recruited these guys, could be unemployed by the end of the year. You would have to think someone would de-commit.

ND is in a world of hurt, I heard Terry Bowden taking about ole Charlie Wies yesterday. I know Terry is looking into coaching again...But he really hit a nail, when he spoke about how sometime OC's don't make anything else but good OC's. He talked about recruiting players, and how its not a QB thing or a one area problem. His words were "Program Problem". I really don't see how players can commit to a school where they go 0-3 to start a season. When your promised a start, but you get hammered in the process. Im not sure CW can right this ship.

I'm doubting it because of one thing. Crist expects to redshirt. Clausen will be a JUNIOR the year Crist is a redshirt freshman. If, as he hopes, Clausen goes pro after his junior year, Crist will be a sophomore looking to compete for the starting job.

Clausen being the starter at ND is actually a positive in regards to Crist. It means that the starting job is closed until Crist is ready to compete for it, at which time the deck will be cleared.

If the ND staff doesn't do something to the OL and the lack of protection Crist might not get a redshirt year - Clausen may not make to the end of the season without some type of injury. I really feel for the young man - he has talent, but without some protection, he is in big trouble and there is still lots of football to be played.

ND's backup just transferred, which I would make Crist likely second string as soon as he got on campus, and I don't think ND could afford to redshirt him. I very seriously doubt that Crist is assuming that Clausen will leave actually his Jr year when he only has two mediocre starts under his belt.

If Crist redshirts, then he'd have 2 years left after Clausen graduates.
(I don't see Clausen going anywhere after 3 years.)

Next year Crist would be the 4th QB on the roster at ND (not counting walk-ons), and they're recruiting another kid that is a QB/Athlete prospect. I don't expect anything to change w/ this kid. From what I've heard, he just simply wants to be at ND.

Rivals has been trying to catch up w/ the ND verbals and try to get a feel for which ones were starting to waver. So far no bad news..yet. Closest thing was a kid from Kentucky said he was committed unless something happened w/ the coaching staff. He was a DE, so the irish could finish 0-12 and the Def. Coord. would still be there along w/ Weis.
