Please lets not mention Sam McGuffie's name again here. Let my previous sentence be the last mention of him. There is no chance he will ever be a Tiger. Please, please, for the love of God, let him go.
Peanut Butter, no one wants him to play for LSU...just perform stuns at our tailgating events in BR. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=9590271
Dayne Crist - whatever you do, Do Not sign that LOI with the ND Titanic...if you do, find a good chiropractor and Knee specialist.
Joe Montana's son is looking at Notre Dame too. Crist would be crazy to go sit behind Clausen and have to compete with Montana who would be a fan favorite no doubt.
Joe Montana's older son came to camp at USC this summer and expressed an interest in walking on. He's been a baseball player primarily and only started to play football a few years ago. He would be an enigma at nd but not in the sense of a 5* recruit. Keep an eye on his younger brother though. And give me a little latitude here but when Dayne gets to South Bend, he won't be sitting behind Clausen unless Jimmy somehow has a miraculous year and stays healthy. I believe Dayne has the goods.
Clausen had the goods, but not being able to throw more than 4 yards... is a big problem. If he never regains his arm strength, it'll be over. I think in the Army All-American game, he was having trouble back then. These kids go to so many camps, and elite QB workouts. I wonder if there arms are getting abused? I know they get the "Camp Arm" soreness. I also read today that he's the projected starter for Saturday's game...they might have been playing possum with Clausen's injury and arm surgery.
The latest I've heard is McGuffie has a severe high ankle sprain and may not play much until late in the season this year. This info came from a Michigan alum. Texsport
