Did anyone notice that elements of Dandy Don's scrimmage summery were identical, word-for-word, to TigerSportsDigest's?

I was told a couple years ago, by a few members of the media and a LSU athletic dept student worker, that DD does not attend any of the practices, press conferences, or scrimmages. All of his info is second hand.

Take it for what it's worth.

CParso is right. DD does attend practices and scrimmages. Still, the verbatim report does leave one wondering.

If you have a problem with Dandy why don't you take it up with him? He'll respond before the day is out.

DD frequently includes information from other's web sites, etc. and I think in every case, he gives them credit for the info.
Bottom line is that DD has been out there with his web site sharing LSU information for a long time. Many of us who live out of state have been going to DD's page for years to keep up with LSU sports. His links page is how I found this forum.
If you don't appreciate him or like his web site, just don't go there.
One thing I do find interesting is that DD and several other sites and reports indicate the kicking game was not all the bad, but I found a couple that said flat out the the kicking game was awful. From DD's report the kicking game didn't sound that bad -- anyone have any first hand information?

Wow, TigerSportsDigest gets their info from Don Long. How cool, many of us have done that for years. Keep up the good work Don!:thumb:

Exactly, I love that old dude, and the fact that he and his pals sit around in a little diner and drink coffee and talk LSU sports all day. How cool is that?
