The Texas school system is second to none. I had a couple of nieces who went to school there after leaving Mississippi. Their dad moved a lot for his job and it was a culture shock. They are honor roll students and were a little behind when they got to Texas. One of them has a PhD in optometry, so she's pretty sharp. Shows how far ahead their system is to most. When I was in high school at Warren Easton in New Orleans we had characters not much character. I swear every other guy thought he was Fonzi. Lot of the girls were characters too kind of like Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny.
Now it looks like the Saints may have done LSU a favor. Ryan Nielsen is reportedly up for the DC position in Green Bay. Imagine if he had signed with us and then the Packers came calling? We could have found ourselves starting over on a coaching search in a week or two.
