It's Baker and Carter https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_8c263060-61b9-11eb-8e52-9710e6f928ff.html
Looks like O went with the youth movement in the off season hires. I can see the pros & cons to the hires. Time will tell how it works out in the upcoming season.
Suppose we can add them to the wait and see camp. Massive coaching overhaul that at least, keeps fans wondering instead of objectively waiting because it wasn't a god hire. I'd say that with this collection of new staff members, those who said O is gone if he doesn't get it right this season will have to give him a mulligan with this staff. Or they come out on fire. Wait and see.
I like the Baker hire now that I read more of his background. I think he and Diaz didn't mesh well while at da U. He knows Louisiana and Texas since he's from there. Those are big pluses in regards to recruiting. Carter I don't know much about yet.
Also, Miami’s d was pretty good when they were trying this year. And he brings DC experience. I like it. But I could be wrong.
I get the feeling Baker will be more comfortable in Louisiana and at LSU. If you don't mesh or feel out of place at a university or a state you may not be as motivated. Maybe just concentrating on coaching LB's will bring out the best in him. His wife is from here and his connections in south Florida, Louisiana and Texas will be an asset as a recruiter. This is partly why I don't hold Oeaux's record at Ole Miss much against him. Being a pure bred Cajun from da bayou's who grew up a Tiger and hating Ole Miss back in the day I tend to think he was not that motivated.
