The guys who ran the Panchos here in NOLA on Vets in Metairie before Katrina destroyed it have been back for years now in Kenner. Different name but same exact food, service, and experience. They use the exact same recipes. The enchiladas taste the same. Cheese sauce the same. Beans and rice the same. Chile rellenos and flautas the same. Etc. Very nostalgic for me cause I grew up on the buffet. It's called 2 Amigos Mexican Buffet on Williams Boulevard in Kenner. They have the old party packs to go which is nice cause of the pandemic. Just can't beat their flautas, their sopapillas, their cheese enchiladas which are like low brow quality but hits me in the feels of my youth. They don't have the flags anymore sadly, but they modernized to LED saucers you can light up. https://m.facebook.com/2AmigosMexicanBuffet/ 2 Amigos https://yelp.to/s12fEYmBodb

Of all the great places there are to eat in New Orleans and you mention Pancho's. Last time I ate at the one on Nicholson I left the food in the parking lot. Very thoughtful of me to predigest it for the toothless homeless guy who found it
