The ineptitude of LSU not making a simple call to Sean Payton to ask for permission to talk to him is crazy. That call should have been made before ANY talks with Ryan took place. So, Sean is being petty, no doubt, but LSU was absolutely inept to not do their due diligence before talking to Ryan. IMO, Sean Payton is under no obligation to make LSU better, but LSU is obligated to know what's in the guys contract.....
What if Sean loved the guy and has plans for him if/when Dennis Allen leaves? Is he still being petty by doing what's best for his team and promoting him? Couldn't agree more.
I’m not freaking out until the decision is made. No shame in losing a midwest guy to ND and a NFL guy who got a raise with potential for even more. I appreciate O’s transparency. I don’t appreciate 5-5 and bowl ban, but I’m not ready to say the sky is falling.
Dennis Allen could get another job this year and Sean might want to promote him, so you have a point. Most coaches are pretty open to helping their assistants, though. But yeah, we have no idea what Sean is thinking. My greater point, however, is that all of this should have happened before LSU even talked to Ryan. That is NOT Sean Payton's fault. That ineptitude is all on LSU....
In the words of Jose Jimenez "it's not my yob". I will leave this to O he is paid well and he will live and die with his choice. Not losing any sleep over this.
Corey Raymond will eventually be the choice, by default or no other choices or whatever you want to call it.
I would think so. My only point was that Woodward can’t do that; he’s just got to rely on Nielsen to accurately report.
