According to Jane Slater, “#LSU is working on finalizing a deal to name #Saints assistant Ryan Nielsen their new Defensive Coordinator sources tell me. Nielsen met with Sean Payton and told him of his intention to take the job earlier today.”
I believe it was Nielsen from the get go. O goes way back with this guy and lives him. I think O knew Freeman was never going to take the job but since everyone in the universe was salivating over this guy he would be slammed for not offering or being called prejudice for not offering it to Freeman first. Had Freeman miraculously taken the offer nothing lost since Freemans resume' looks great and probably would made us a great DC. Nielsen was the better option and lives here in Louisiana already and has that Saints connection and a great resume. Nice hire
What the hell is Payton doing here, I've been hearing and pushing Nielsen LSU DC for months when it was clear Bo wouldn't likely be kept.

First, the Saints gag & lose a playoff game to the Bucs. And now this alleged story. If it turns out to be accurate that makes Peyton one of the biggest, whining, crybaby bitches of all time. How anybody is a LSU fan can root for the Saints is a mystery to me if the story is true.
