Yup. I find the whole 4-3 vs. 3-4 debate archaic because almost no one worth worrying about runs primarily 2 WR formations anymore. You can call it a 4-3 all you want, but when you’re in nickel and dime packages 75% of the game, you’re not playing 3 LBs.
Even when playing a 4-3/3-4 they rarely resemble it. I think this is what @tzanghi was saying. I'm not sure what you "label" it means near as much as what they do on the field.
With the new explosion on offense, I think defense is going thru a transition. It will take a little time for them to catch up to pace, schemes, and personnel of those offenses. We might see more 3-3-5 or 4-2-5 type sets with variations on execution. Until someone figures it out it will be fun to watch. I have to say that last year's LSU team was by far the most fun I ever had watching in my 50 years.
Are you giving credit to O and E for having the smarts and foresight to hire Brady and bring Burrow to LSU? My view about the new hire is O did the previous so I am all for the hire.

Member when Oeaux got scolded by Alleva & BOS in 2017? "Never interfere with the Offense again". Oeaux holds grudges. In this case believe it was a $3-4 Million payout, Orgeron didnt pay for with his own money, which some coaches do. All because Oeaux's not very smart. After all that BS, the LSU BOS took over the hiring of the important positions, read high dollar positions, OC & DC & PGC. Some refuse to believe that & never will. Of course the "new" BOS is very Liberal & spends money like an open fire hydrant.The amount of money Oeaux has cost LSU with his temper tantrams about his staff: "I just cant work wiff dat dude" & ridiculous Salary demands & buyout is astronomical.
