    Former LSU player - DT/DE

    2002-2003 D/L Coach Oklahoma State
    2004 D/L Coach Chicago Bears
    2005 D/L Coach LSU Tigers
    2006-present D/L Coach Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings currently have the best defensive line in the NFL.

Dunbar has repeatedly said that he prefers the NFL and was the reason he left LSU after one season. I just don't see him coming back.

well getting a promotion to DC makes things quite a different proposition

He would certainly entertain the idea.

    absolutely none.

But he has proven he is one of the best D/L coaches found ANYWHERE.

    That's saying something.

He would certainly hold people accountable.

If we have to go younger and inexperienced, I believe he and Ken Norton are our best choices.

I still believe Chavis is the best answer for LSU, however.

He played here in the mid-80's under Arnsparger, is that correct? We had some decent defenses those years, just couldn't seem to win any bowl games!

I would certainly love to have an ex-LSU player on the staff as the DC, however if we are going to go young I think Nix is the best choice. He is young (in his 30s I think) and has DC experience in the conference.

    Forgot about Nix.

Yes, add him to the mix.
