Just got this in my email Per FootballScoop.com- Premium Scoop: We hear that a staff member at LSU has contacted veteran SEC defensive coordinator John Thompson to gauge his interest in becoming the new defensive coordinator if the positon becomes available. Thompson was Nick Saban’s first defensive coordinator at LSU, but later accepted an offer to join the staff at Arkansas in the same capacity. Thompson currently serves as the defensive coordinator at Georgia State.
Thompson would be fine with me. :huh:At this point, I am getting frustrated with the lack of official movement in any direction. I wish CLM would get moving already!
I posted the link to give information about Thompson, not to verify that he was being sought out by LSU. He does have some pretty good credentials.

So in 2008, he was DC at Georgia State. He was hired by head coach Bill Curry, who is the same coach he was LB coach for when they were at Alabama.
