As a Chiefs fan, I must say that I don't want GR anywhere near the LSU campus.

LSU football coach Les Miles has apparently inquired about bringing former Syracuse coach Greg Robinson to Baton Rouge as his defensive coordinator.
Contacted Thursday night, Robinson did not deny the contact about the LSU job, though he said the information might be "reaching a little bit." He said he's weighing all his options.

    Times-Picayune, today:

BATON ROUGE - Former Syracuse Coach Greg Robinson indicated he has been contacted by LSU Coach Les Miles about becoming defensive coordinator.

Robinson, who was fired earlier this season, did not deny being contacted by Miles among others, but also said in a story by The Syracuse Post-Standard's Donnie Webb the information might be "reaching a little bit."

"I don't see myself having the ability to do something right now," Robinson said. "First of all, I want to continue to work on our coaches to help them (find new jobs). Secondly, I have to weigh all my options. That's going to take some time."

Not sure about this one. Seems like the guy lost his magic touch after he left the Broncos ten years ago. Kansas City Chiefs' defense was horrific under his coaching, and Syracuse is one of the worst teams in the nation.

And he doesn't have the fiery demeanor that this dire moment calls for. He's an elocutionist, for crying out loud! I want someone who grunts profane commands like a Neanderthal, not someone who philosophizes and speaks in flowery compound-complex sentences.

This is football, not Shakespeare class.

Ideally, I'd like Muschamp. That's not likely to happen.

Kevin Steele could be lured with the right bait, and he'd be dynamite.

Dom Capers would be outstanding, and he's got New Orleans ties. :tigerhead
