Alright: when I'm talking to my friends (or just people in real life in general), they can say whatever they want--be it Syracuse is great--or Robinson sucks--or Les Miles sucks--or LSU sucks--or whatever, and I make it sound like I don't disagree with them and I change the subject. I don't make them feel stupid about it. Sure, I have heard people in real life (including my friends) say stuff about LSU football that would piss me off if I saw it on here, and it doesn't bother me when they do so: I know they aren't as serious about being an LSU football fan, so I'm not that worried about it.

Here, I hold you people to a higher standard. Very few people are serious enough about LSU football to waste time coming on an LSU football discussion board like a bunch of dorks. I figure this is a place for people that are seriously into being knowledgable and informed about LSU football.

    Hey Johnbot

"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."

Now google up some rebuttals for this statement made by some fool who doesnt pay attention.

And that includes your opinion, which so far hasn't been very impressive in this thread here on Robinson.

Make of it what you will:

Mack Brown. Brown hired Greg Robinson as co-defensive coordinator before last season on the recommendation of USC coach Pete Carroll, in part, because Carroll and Robinson worked with [Monte] Kiffin on the New York Jets in the early 1990s.

    ...

Chizik [was] hired to replace Robinson when he left to become head coach at Syracuse ... Players say Chizik's scheme is easier to digest than Robinson's was last year. "Coach Robinson was straight out of the NFL, so his stuff was more complex, and there was more to it," defensive tackle Rod Wright said. "Coach Chizik does a great job of making his defense user friendly by asking us how we want things to be called."

Ok, I guess I need to break my silence.

JohnLSU was an experiment I came up with in a lab. It started off on a fairly small scale, but somewhere along the lines it got out of control. I started plugging in various formulas, algorithms, knowledge bases, search engines, etc. and I thought it would be cool. I just didn't know it would go this far.

I can't turn him off now.

Before they went to the pros, Monte Kiffen, Pete Carroll, and Greg Robinson coached together at NC State (Kiffen coached there from 1980-1982, Robinson coached there from 1980-1981, Carroll coached there from 1980 to 1982).

Kiffen, Carroll, and Robinson would coach together again with the NY Jets (Kiffen coached there in 1990 as LB coach, Carroll coached there from 1990-1994 as Defensive Coordinator then Head Coach, Robinson coached there from 1990-1994 as DL coach and then as Carroll's Defensive Coordinator).

    WOW!!
Is that the best they got?
Yeah yeah yeah, back to back 2000 yard seasons, whatever.
Seriously, TD is their most famous football alum?

pay attention John and I'll break it down for you.
DiNardo sucked every year of his coaching career except those 3.
If he can pull that off, anyone can (except Curley of course)

you hold people you have never met on an annonymous internet site to a higher standard than you do your friends?
you're even stranger than I thought.
have you stalked RPs brother again lately?
just wondering how lil brother is enjoying the minor leagues.

Robinson is getting a bad rap because of his tenure at Syracuse. And yes, you might as well have said Iowa State. That's the level Syracuse has sunk to under the current AD.

He isn't my first choice, but it certainly isn't doom and gloom like the majority of LSU fans appear to paint the picture.

Robinson comes with great credentials and does have 2 super bowl rings to show for it.

If Carroll is recommending you, then that's significant.

My only concern is whether the past 5 seasons have gotten him burned out.

    This is all that's necessary.
