what about his job as DB's coach didn't you like, considering you're accusing me of being blind.

VK coaches the bend but don't break defense that doesn't work in the sec but i guess it's better than the 'break' defense mallveto coaches.

that's the thing you're too "" to see.

A position coach has absolutely no control over the play being called.

He'd coach the 4 guys in the defensive backfield. That's it.

Teach them technique, teach them stuff like that.

ZERO control over what play being called, so it matters ZERO what scheme Mallory would prefer to run.

would you say chad jones improved this year? It would be nice if mallveto woulda taught tackling 101 to quite a few of our guys in the secondary.

Shouldn't players at this level already know how to tackle?

Ive always thought the same thing. Kind of like when they say things like "freshman mistake" after a youngster is called for intentional grounding or three seconds in the lane. They learn things like this in third grade.

You would think, but as I expressed in another thread, teaching the fundementals of proper tackling is a lost art. Thanks to ESPN, it's screw the basics and fundementals, let me make the big hit that will get me 10 seconds of air time tonight. :angryfire
