Patrick Peterson (Johnson) and Brandon Taylor were said to pass the eye test as far as looking to be SEC ready. That's great news in their very first practice.
Great news: YES!!! Were there any other reports that came out of today's first practices? :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Yes, Hatch appeared to have a slightly stronger arm and Lee appeared to be a little more nimble and more capable of running with the ball. So both QBs look to be improved in areas they needed improving from the Spring. Again, great news. Brett Helms said that this team is way ahead of last year coming into fall practice. He said they installed a lot of the offense in just the first day.
I guess a year in the Crowton System is paying dividends. That should be scary to the rest of the conference.
Coachspeak. Last year's team was ahead of this one at this point. By a wide margin, too. There is a reason last year's team won by 40 3-4 games in a row out of the gate. They do not look bad ... at all. They just not quite as sharp as last year.
