Someone posted a while back that 3 coaches were told they would be retained after the season. I'd have to think Corey is one of them. I also think we are probably close to losing him because eventually someone is going to hire him for a better job.

When that happens, isn't PP7 getting long in the tooth? I think that would be a great replacement. If it happens

Not arguing if it is true or not. IDK. But, if LSU is hiring a GUY, wouldn't he want his own hires. Maybe some would be retained or not.

It seems to me that if Woodward dictates who is on staff there will be disfunction.

Totally get that, name me a coach that wouldn't want to keep Corey on staff. Its not like we don't put more dbs in the league than anyone else. New coach would be a fool to let him go.

Love PP7, but I'm not sure I want his first coaching gig to be at LSU.

I've heard that Corey Webster will very likely be retained, assuming he & the new coach get along & are one the same page. Can't say the same about the rest of the old staff. Not just on field staff, but most the "analysts" we have on the current staff. 25-30 I think. Have heard the "too many cooks in the kitchen" thing. The admins want more coaching from the the actual on field coaches.

If Webster can coach, I'm sure PP7 can too when he retires. From what I understand he was always a leader & a bit more mature than many of his teammates when he played here. Would love to see him leading LSU's CB's one day.
