Anyone watch it? If you didn't, you missed the closest - and best - 500 finish ever, with Martin Truex and Denny Hamlin banging door panels for the last 1000 yards before Hamlin won by .01 seconds. http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-me...enny-hamlin-race-recap-sprint-cup-series.html
36th. He wrecked on lap 160. Too bad. He had a great car that had won 6 of the last 8 races he used it in
I used to watch it more frequently back in the days of Dale Sr., Richard, Daryl and the rest of the "old timers."
I've gotten away from it in recent years too. And now that my favorite driver, Tony Stewart, is getting ready to retire, I really don't know if I'll stay interested.
After failing to win in 11 Daytona 500 starts, Denny Hamlin drove the #11 Toyota to a win starting in the 11th position
First 500 I have missed in 20 years....and I don't mind. I am not exactly done with the sport. I will continue to surround my love with short track racing but sitting through another NASCAR season is more than too much of life wasted on a sport that is currently, a shell of it"s former self. F Denny Hamlin. I like Truex and would have preferred he put the 11 in the infield, but the cat has too much class to win it that way.
