That's an interesting way to look at it.

Orrr.. it shows most people don't have favorites or have the capacity to judge a coach or player based on their current performance.

Offense is great, no one is unhappy there. Defense is at times a sieve to big plays and people are majorly concerned and reacting this overreaction happens.

BTW, I have faith in Aranda but he certainly needs to remedy the current trends.

    Some O-line stats:

How the #LSU offensive line has improved so far from 2018 to 2019:

Opportunity rate (how often rushing game get the yards it should)
    2018: No. 96
    2019: No. 45

    Sack Rate
    2018: No. 101
    2019: No. 67

    Stuff Rate:
    2018: No. 91
    2019: No. 32

With the return of Charles and BIG ED, oh lawd...

When evaluating the defense, one should not include TDs that were given to the opponent by the offense.

    Tackling is a problem, tho.

Well to be fair it seems unfair to hang a pick 6 and a fumble recovered in the end zone on the defense. Did Fulton throw the pick? Maybe Singletary should have tripped the db as he was running down the sideline.

I get it, team game but that isn't twisting anything.

I have faith too in Aranda but at the same time he is not perfect. Hope he improves gap assignments and tackling and I trust he will. What I don't understand however is the attacks on CEH. That guy gets yardage no one else on this team can get. Don't care if he doesn't have that take it to the house speed. Best all around back we have,

The point is you can’t compare with past years or other teams unless you deduct all scores where the defense wasn’t on the field.

Secondly, the offense has to overcome the opponents’ score regardless of which side of the ball those points are attributed to. If a side effect of scoring 60 is giving your opponent 14, defense needs to allow less than 46. Against Vandy we did, but it was Vandy. See aTm last year.

    We agree completely.

Clyde is getting hammered because he's not flashy. He's also a known commodity. The young guys are two things. Talented and unknown and those are two very sexy qualities which lead to some resentment towardthe perceived reason we're not seeing them.. which is Clyde.

Bottom line is if the young bucks could pass protect effectively they'd probably be playing as much if not more than Clyde.. but they can't right now.

Our passing game and Joe's protection are the straw that stirs the drink right now. Thus Clyde will continue to be the guy until the others prove more capable.

Watched all the replays and from what I see CEH is one of the most productive 10 to 15 yd backs in the SEC. I predict he will be the starter the rest of the year.

Seems like he’s a little too patient, but he’s pretty good, especially as a compliment to the passing game. All RBs need to catch better out of backfield.

He can pass block. The new guys are not very good at it.
