Is stealing checks. Defense looks like crap. 3-4 defense without edge rushers will never work. Northwestern bullied our front the 1st 3 drives. Vandy moved the ball well. Dave better get this shiiiii fixed like fast.
Starts with Lawrence, must have an anchor for 3-4 to work. To be honest I didn't even pay attention to what we were in defensively. If it was 3-4 I'm not going to make a bunch of it because of who wasn't there. That doesn't mean something isn't wrong. We have problems even when they are there.

That is a bit harsh, we are not up to our normal but his defenses have kept us relevant in the past and I expect that he will get it together.
Dude has an outstanding track record. We get some key injuries and you want him to work miracles? How about these injured players better come back quick...

All the points he made have validity. I think the biggest factor is that we honestly don't have the talent on defense that we once did. We don't have the depth of quality players we once did, especially on the DL. Our LB's are our best group right now. I think the DB's are very talented, but buying in too much to the DBU hype. Especially, Delpit. He is trying too hard to make plays. In general though, we don't have the usual talent there either. Losing Joeseph hurts a lot. He would have been a great number 3 CB. Stingley is going to be big time by seasons end. Tackling is the biggest issue. The team isn't wrapping and missing way too many tackles. The lack of a pass rush hurts. Remember years back when our bench was as good as most teams starters? The injuries hurt, but this is LSU, our bench should be stronger. I think recruiting has been much better recently, but we need time to rebuild after Miles. At least that culture is finally once again being established. That aura of confidence, as well as coaching up players.
Wish some here would have given E the same injury excuse last year they want to give Aranda this year. I happen to be one that believes key injuries along with amount of injuries affects the hell out of your offense or defense. We need the big 3 back; Lawrence, Logan and Chassion.
Ensminger has no track record. Well a terrible one as OC, so I take that back. He's substandard at best.
DL Depth is certainly an issue Stingley is a beast now. He will only get better This isn't an LSU problem it is a "todays football" problem. Living in OKC I get to hear it from multiple fan bases and they all say the same thing, have been for years. If you watch other teams (not saying you don't) but if you look at them with the same scrutiny that we use to judge our team you will see a lot of the same. I wish this would get better but it has actually gotten worse over the last 4 or 5 years
