A wizard? Fisher is not excellent. Herman is intriguing. Petrino? He is excellent but a ton of people don't want him the face of our program due to character issues. I don't care as long as he wins and doesn't hurt us (which is where the character thing matters)

Any who, SaintsSlidell,. Aranda is the brightest football mind on our staff and i was bummed at first when we picked Ed the absolute failure at Ole Miss and little Kiffin-kiss ass Orgeron over him as our interim coach. But O did immediately elevate Aranda to associate head coach. So huge props to O and now I'm pumped about the O era. By elevating Aranda to associate head coach, we got him. That's why offenisive coaches are going to be interesting paired with him at LSU until he gets a head coaching job. Then we will be fucked unless our coach knows how to hire good defensive coordinators like Les did mostly (which Sean Payton doesn't know how to do for whatever reason)

Ok, didn't know Aranda posted after drinking. Who knew we had Aranda, Les, and Petrino posting here? Mods, y'all might want to advertise that.

Who is "we"? Didn't know we had had a Roman style tribunal here that decides what "we" should think. I will pay your bus fare outta here and keep Aranda thank you very much Thank-You-5.jpg but "WE" will decide for ourselves.

We includes me. Aranda's defense has not been all it was talked up to be. He was supposed to put up a defense that was number one in the country. Our d line is rare to get to the quarterback unless Arden key pins his ears back on 3rd and 17 because he's skinny enough to squeeze between the lineman or bend around the tackle. We have some of the best secondary talent in the nation and they rarely make plays on the ball. To quote someone else, Jefferson is basically a warm body out there. Aranda has not earned a head coach position in the time he's been with us.

So Aranda comes to LSU which has been recruiting guys for a 4-3 defense, has undersized D-linemen and no depth at LB and Aranda installs a 3-4 hybrid D with those same players and you expected it to be #1 in the country within 4 games? Man, tough crowd. If we can't get Herman or Jimbo, I'd just as soon hire Aranda as any other name being thrown out there.

I get the feeling Aranda isn't ready, but I have no problem with the D to this point. The D put the O in position to win. The O put the D in position to fail. Miles put the O in position to fail with mishandling of QBs.

This idea of coaches being "not ready" or "unproven" is overblown to me. The guy is either a good coach or he isnt. Hugh Freeze had one year at Arkansas St and he doesn't seem to be having a problem in the SEC. By every indicator, Aranda is one of the brightest young coaches in the game.

Coaching is more than Xs and Os, just refer to Miles if you doubt it.
