I just watched the video. Bottom line, if he just chills and lets the cuffs go on he is still breathing. Not sure when or if folks are going to learn, if you don't fight with the police you get to live.
People just aren’t smart. You either ready to die or live another day if you get caught like that. Simple choice. If I get pulled over, I wouldn’t mind having my ass best. I could use a 2nd home.
This is what happens when you do not hire and promote the best.... when you hire based on diversity, you get incompetent people that “accidentally” shoot people. This is the second, “I thought it was a taser”, in recent memory. Had to look this one up... why is a 73 year old on patrol? In 2015, a white volunteer sheriff’s deputy in Tulsa, Okla., fatally shot Black man Eric Harris, 44, during an undercover operation, later claiming he confused his personal Smith & Wesson revolver with a Taser that wasn’t even on his hip at the time. Robert Bates, 73, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, convicted and sentenced to four years in prison. He served less than half the sentence.
All these incidents have resisting arrest in common. Very bad things can happen when you resist arrest because cops have a hair trigger in these situations...because these are the times that cops die all the time.
