That's the story. Can't say I blame him.

The more I think about it, a move by Thomas may not be so smart. He very likely has more talent than D.C. or Jordan Jefferson. I see no reason for him to be so scared of being beat out of starting position by either of them. If push comes to shove he could play wide receiver and be very dangerous at that position.

Me neither b/c apparently he felt the staff lied to him. He is actually ranked higher than both the Jeffersons and I really liked him to be a QB here. However with Dixon's play and Oregon's depth chart gives him the best chance to play QB next year and could become a great QB in their spread offense.

I'd rather have him as an LSU Tiger then not but it's not a huge loss. He most likely would have been a WR eventually. If Chris Toliver and Brown qualify (assuming they commit to LSU), he'd have been lost in the shuffle there. LSU will definitely land a highly rated QB next year to be behind presumably RP for one season and Lee.

This is just the beginning of bad news. Our recruiting this year is dismal. weak areas such as linbacker , offensive tackle and now a quarterback that can throw and run the option. I saw films of him and he looked very fast and showed great cutting ability. I hope things change for the better  soon !!!!!

I just hope this doesnt turn out to be another Top QB who we had/committed but stop showing them attention letting them sign elsewhere. Remember Pat White...he was committed to us and really was excited but then the same stuff happen with him. It would've been nice if we had him.

    Not a big loss, IMO.

I just think the coaches have given up on recruiting. Most of them ( if any) wont be here next year so they dont really care.

Thomas is probably more talented than the other two QBs we recruited. If he is so scared of competion then let him go. The loss is his.
