I thought the way people were talking his verbal was eminent, but I haven't heard anything in a while. Anyone here anything on the QB recruiting?
The word on the street is that he is committed, but that he is taking his sweet time announcing it. It's also not known if he's a "quarterback" or an "athlete".
I have heard he was a silent committ. The only reason I could think of for him being a silent committ is that we have another good QB on our board that the coaches think we have a shot at.
I really dont see why we would. We took Lee last year and next year there will be a few highly touted Qbs with LSU high on their list.
You don't??? For the past two years, there's been a big "to do" about only having 3 scholarship QB's on the roster. Would you feel comfortable having only 3 scholarship RB's?
RB's & QB's are completely different. You can see 3 RBs in a single game & it's quite normal. Plus, RB's sustain a lot more contact than QB's, so they are more susceptible to injury. 3 QBs on scholarship is perfect. This is just a terrible year to need a QB (for us). There were really only 2 really good ones that we had a shot at & they were both from far away. I think we take Darron as an Athlete, and one true QB this class.
I think that with the issues surrounding Perilloux and the uncertainty there, we may be forced to take two QBs, or one QB and one "athlete" who could play QB.
There is no more uncertainty surrounding RP, except how good he'll be when he gets to start next year.
