why didnt we try Steffon Francois at this position this year?? Steffon Francois Has serious speed, and hits hard. I think he could have covered the speedy backs a little better than Danny.

Miles seems to dislike playing freshmen.

well someone needs to tell Les that Toliver, and CJones are freshman. Hell whats the worst case scenario? Les plays a freshman DB, and we give up a big play? I'd rather have a freshman with speed in the game, than a play with only one year of experience with less speed.

I know this may shock some people but they do their best to the best player on the field...(unless your name rhymes with Jester of Plynn) ;)

From what Ive seen Jones should be playing that position at all times. The kid is a stud athlete. He was gonna catch McFadden from behind, that NEVER happens.

Also, it doesnt matter who is covering if the QB has all day to throw.

I agree, Jones is incredible and should be on the field in coverage or blitzing. I know he could blow coverages because he is inexperienced, but we have seen so many blown coverages this year that I would have taken the chance. I truly believe if we played this kid man to man with anyone he could do the job. The rover position would be perfect for him. He could do it all, LB, cover CB, great blitzing-remember ALA, the kid should be on the field at all times. Once he gets a little more experience returning punts he will begin breaking some long ones also. The kid is strong and fast, and has no fear on returns. He is a true freshman and is our best athlete already IMO.

yeah jones was the heart and soul of our team on friday. can't wait to see this kid's future.

but back to the topic, we won't waste a redshirt year this late in the game unless there's an injury and francois is of course taking a redshirt. i'm more concerned with us not playing eugene or hawkins.

I think Stefoin will get substantial time at FS next year beside Chad Jones... young safeties... but should be good.
