Khoots, what Miles has done is "unmatched in the history of the program," as LSUsports.net explains on its bio for our HC. That LSUsports.net bio of Miles goes on briefly to explain how he's by far had the greatest run as a coach in LSU history. I was going to sit here and elaborate on it to get it through your hard head, but then I realized that only an absolute fool wouldn't understand that Miles has given LSU football our greatest years since the Billy Cannon years. Then I realized what was going on is this: When we hired Miles, you weren't impressed with him. At the time, I had a friend who felt the same way. So I we had an email debate, and I finally convinced him that Miles is one of the greatest coach selections that LSU has made. I convinced him of all this before Miles coached his first LSU game. I wish I had been there to have done that for you, but I wasn't. So you were wrong about Miles. Hell, Miles could have been undefeated all three seasons with 3 national titles, and I think you would still hate Miles. Why? Because you are a stubborn old man who will never admit that you were wrong to not expect greatness from Miles when we first hired him. If you can't grow up and accept responsibility for being wrong, then I suggest you at least have enough integrity to banish yourself from Tiger Nation until the Miles dynasty has ended.
Great points and thanks for this posting - I also have a couple of friends who still want Miles to leave and they will tell you they want him gone because they want either Spurrier or Tubberville - simple as that. There are some out there that will never be satisfied with a particular coach, even if he is winning, simply because they wanted someone else. ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule:
:champs: Totally agree!! There are those who will never be happy with Miles no matter what he does, just because they want something/someone else. This coach is right in the middle of the greatest run in LSU history (33 -6) and it's not over yet. We're SEC champs and may be in the NC game by the end of the day! Plus, this man wants to be here. He said it several times yesterday, including right before the game when he told the female reporter that "Yes, I will be the LSU Coach next year." Doesn't get any clearer than that. We've got a great coach and I'm proud of him and our team. They've overcome a lot this year and it ain't over yet!!!
Les Miles is showing integrity and class. That is what LSU needs the most. Championships are icing on the cake. I was convinced he was gone, and I was ok with it. After yesterday, I hope he stays here a long, long time. I think any recruit in the nation would love to play for him. This is a man who truly loves his players.
I am 46 and i love Les Miles Charachter, I love his integrity, I love a man that cares about his family, I love a man that has a passion for what he does and i love that he will be leading our team on and off the field for a long time. Yeah I love him and i am proud to say so. And it is for what he is as a man more thAn what he is as a Coach. If i was a parent i would trust him with my kid any time. I dont know how i could pay him a greater compliment.
Three 11 win seasons, an SEC Championship, three consecutive BCS bowls, and a shot at the NC. Not too shabby.
