Radio just got a lot better. He was one of the all-time greats with Oberman, when we thought it was just an act from them. Turns out the know-it-all smarminess is actually their personality. And as know it all smarminess goes, I like to think I have the patent on that.
Does anyone have any additional information on this? Is he going to Sirius? He hasn't been on the radio or Sportscenter (I don't think) since this was announced; leading me to believe his departure is less than amicable.
Kind of what I was thinking. At first they said he would still be on, but that obviously has not been the case.
Of course, everyone around ESPN is tight lipped (imagine that) and won't talk about it. Kind of like when Harold Reynolds was fired from Baseball Tonight.
Dan Patrick is going to do a syndicated national radio show ala Jim Rome: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune...enstein,1,4589040.column?coll=cs-home-utility
Gottlieb is great. I'd assume they will go with someone in-house. My choice would be Gottlieb or Linda Cohn. As long as its not Eric Seibel, S.AS. or Olbermann, I am fine with whomever. I'll usually listen to WWL anyway.
