Unless the O line plays at the level they played Saturday night or better, be prepared for grim. I think that's one of the reasons Cam is running a KISS offense.
Two weeks in a row, especially against Florida is a trend. They will be fired up for Ole Miss, especially after last season. Pass protection still needs to improve on obvious passing downs however.
Les isn't a good evaluator of talent at the qb position. It's been 10 years and he's barely been able to find even a game managing QB. It just isn't going to happen.
We have two very young QB's. People are spoiled by the recent success of Winston and Manziel. Both were exceptional QB's who exceled as RFR. We have a Soph and FR at QB. While I would certainly like to see better play we need to give them a year or two to grow. Lets not forget how shakey Mett was as a JR. He did not come around until he was a SR.
we're used to playing hide the quarterback. our expectations are so low due to stagnant offenses where we think 100 yards passing and 1 td is a success. we've been conditioned alright. minus 1 or 2 years of the last 8, this is the goddamned norm. i think everyone needs to do the opposite and raise their expectations. this shit is tired.
I'm by no way saying we should not have high expectations. All I'm simply saying is that we can not expect young QB's to be where Mett was as a SR. I do agree though that we should and need to be a much better passing team. We have to do a better job of missing up play calling and keeping the D honest.
