well, i do believe the Champ has come out of the east 2 out of 3 years, so I don't think western dominance is as important as it used to be. No doubt 5-8 in the West would KILL 5-8 in the east, but I think the 1 and the 2 seeds match up well. and also, Michael Jordan never lost a 2-0 lead. I doubt Magic Johnson in his prime did, either. Probably not Bird, too. Point being the great ones DO NOT have bad games on the big stage. all the foul shot stats prove is that the Heat were more aggressive... The Mavs are made up of guys who like to play around the world. They naturally don't get to the line a lot. Your team was not only up 2-0, but had a commanding lead in game 3... Dirk can't close the deal.
When did Houston win their 3rd? I remember the back to back title form 12 years ago (their first 2) and don't remember any since.
