And I guess you wish they still had the pool on the patio? They did get rid of that, right?

Just wanted to echo Kyle's suggestion of Babe's. The fried chicken, chicken fried steak and side dishes are very good. We go there(the one in Frisco) about once a month. Only downside is that the atmosphere is sort of like a Cracker Barrel. Not a place for lingering dinner with drinks.

If you are interested in the "conspiracy" you should definitely check out the 5th Floor Museum on the West End.

I hate conspiracy stuff and am sick of hearing about the whole JFK thing. But years ago I was forced (by a woman) to go on the 6th Floor tour and it was very interesting. So I agree with SabanFan, you should check it out.

I'm pretty lucky as my three favorite Dallas resturants are all on the same block. Greenville Ave between Goodwin and Vickery. Map

    1. Dodies Reef - If you are looking for an LSU crowd I would check out Dodies. They just opened a new location called Dodies Reef. Louisiana owner, LSU and LA stuff all over, bunch of big TVs, good food and a roof top padio.
    Dodie's Reef: Dallas, TX

    2. Terilli's - Next door to Dodie's Reef. Probably the best Italian in Dallas. It burned down and they are rebuilding but they should be open by the game weekend. I walked past it Monday and they looked ready to open. Terilli's Restaurant - Rising from the Ashes

    3. The Grape - Across the street from Dodie's and Terilli's. It's more of a bistro. They have really good food, reasonable prices and nice wine selection. They also have the been voted best burger in Texas. They only serve the burger for Sunday brunch and Monday lunch and dinner. The Grape Restaurant - Dallas, TX - Home

    Other spots:

Adair's is good if you want live Music. Usually Texas country or southern rock type bands.

As mentioned Knox/Henderson has has a bunch of stuff. The Porch is not bad. Capitol Pub for a beer.

There is also a lot of stuff on McKinney (uptown). Bring your BMW 3 series. The official car of the uptown area.

Bubba's on Hilcrest is great too. Same owners but in Dallas. It's on right by SMU. Babes Chicken Dinner House - Family Style Restaurants in and around Dallas Fort Worth, Texas
