Any cowboys fans in here? What do you think the season will bring? Do you think they made the right offseason moves? Will Tony Romo prove he is a franchise qb or will he prove he is a flop? Same question for Jason Garrett.

    Thoughts?

Biggest 'Boy fan you'll ever find. PM me whenever you'd like to talk football during the season.

The season will bring probably 10-11 wins I'd guess. Still a ton of talent on that roster.

I like the offseason moves -- especially adding Brooking, who still has a lot left in the tank at LB. I think they are now and have been for 3-4 years, thin at CB. Jerry refuses to admit it and thinks losers like Orlando Scandrick, etc... are formidable when they're not. I guess losing Plex in the division helps that a little, though.

Romo never really was a flop IMO -- I just think he has problems when Jason Garrett decides that running the ball is a thing that should only happen on 4th and inches.

When the backs get a lot of touches, the team tends to do real well.

The season ended last year when Felix got hurt.

All of the T.O./Romo/Witten talk gets the press, but it all ended when Jones went down. The offense never had the same flare again.

I'm not a CBoys fan but aside from the fact that Wade Phillips is a good assistant but not a good head coach and the fact that Romo will never be a franchise QB until he stops getting drunk every night and playing golf ever day
Their biggest problem is egomaniac owner Jerry Jones.

i listen to D/FW radio all day and i heard an interview with wade talking about running the ball more, and i cant say i disagree with him. Did you know last year 30% of the cowboys runs only netted 1 yard or less. And they had Barber, Jones, and Choice. Completely unacceptable. Im glad they added Brooking as well, Zach Thomas is way too old. Marcus Spears is in a contract year so hopefully he will have a great season. I never thought Romo was a flop either, but if you listened to the Dallas media, man they do not cut him any slack, probably one of the harshest media groups in the country. I will def, hit you up during the season. Maybe we can see Felix Jones line up 3 or 4 times in the WildBoyz formation.

If Romo is not a flop what is he then?
When is he going to win a playoff game?

Tony Romo is the new Danny White.

10-12 wins? Sure. Playoff success? Not so much.

last season he got hurt, he was putting together a pretty good season before the injury. Year before that he was the 2nd best quarterback in the league behind Tom Brady. Sure he has choked in 2 playoff games, but damn he is still pretty young. He does need to prove he can win a playoff game though, i agree with you on that aspect.

What worries me most about this season is that the Eagles and Giants improved their teams in the off season. The new safety Sensabaugh sounds like a possible upgrade for the Cowboys. But the extent of their off season 'improvements' is dumping TO. While that will probably have a positive effect in the locker room, I can only hope that translates to the field. Tony was looking for him too much and that hurt us last year.

The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium will offer $90 pizzas

    By Chris Chase

The colossal new Dallas Cowboys Stadium is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas. The menu in the luxury suites proves that things there are more expensive too.
Those enjoying a Cowboys game from a luxury suite at the new stadium will have to shell out $90 for pizza and $66 for a 12-pack of domestic beer, reports Steven Sipple of the Lincoln Journal World. Ninety bucks for pizza? That's almost as much of a rip-off as Roy Williams.
It costs $800,000 per year to lease one of those luxury suites, a hefty sum that doesn't include game tickets. On the bright side, the stadium's official Web site says that "having your company's name on a suite makes an important statement about your success" and can help make an impression on clients. (Namely that they're paying you way too much money.)
As for the $90 pizza, that's the cost for a plain pizza. No word on how much each topping costs but, suffice it to say, if you're a fan of pepperoni you may want to consider refinancing your mortgage before you head down to watch the Cowboys.

$66 for a 12 pack?!! Something tells me that's not Miller High Life! :insane:
