Dale Jr. to Hendrick Motor Sports in 2008!

You hit the nail on the head. I think this switch-a-roo (kyle and jr) was in the works weeks ago. I can almost guarantee Kyle will be driving #8 next year of DEI. They were just waiting for all the pieces to fall into place.

I watch NASCAR until football season starts. My driver is Elliott Sadler! I wish he could have gone to Hendricks! :grin:

 

Fanatic, I didn't mean to imply that you said they didn't get along...just me venting about the funny things I read on those message boards I mentioned. Gordon and Big E were actually business partners while #3 was still alive...and Gordon always had the utmost respect for him...as well he should. I just happen to believe that, whether a person LIKES Gordon or not, they should respect his accomplishments...instead of claiming it all to be a conspiracy...or worse...luck.:dis: You don't get lucky 79 times and counting...and you don't luck into 4 championships...and counting. The guy's good, and Jr will learn a lot from him...vice versa, I'm sure, especially on RP tracks...although Gordon can hold his own just fine, there. I remember a couple of years ago when bump drafting was just becoming a hot topic, Jr said in an interview that he didn't like just anybody bump drafting him, especially in the turns...but he felt comfortable with Gordon doing it...cuz he knows what he's doing.
I believe they are two totally different personalities, but have the utmost of respect for each other. The Hendrick stable just got stronger, IMHO.
