After missing the last 18 races with a concussion last year and currently mired in 24th place in this years Cup I'm not surprised but I couldn't help but hope he would win at least one. http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-me...arnhardt-jr-retire-following-2017-season.html Restart at 1:20
Dude was never nor ever gonna be his daddy. It takes a prick to be that dominant. I like the guy. Seems like a person you can sit down with and have bar b que, but his popularity in the sport was borderline grotesque. With his retirement, some day I might actually watch a race again. Or maybe not.
I've seen him in quite a few races where he had a chance to win if he would have pulled some of the moves his daddy did. Junior is too nice too be dominant. #3 Was a prick on the track but was well liked by his fellow drivers. When he finally won the Daytona 500 and was slowly driving to the winners circle every driver lined up to shake his hand. Now the sport has become too corporate. Tony Stewart was the last of the old time win at all cost drivers. I don't like the Chase format. The 5th place driver could lead every lap and win at Homestead and the 4 ahead of him could wreck on the first lap and he still would have been eliminated before the race started.
