    D-lo Benton passes Clearinghouse

color me "a little bit surprised" as i was in Camp Skeptical, but it looks like Deangelo Benton made it through the NCAA Clearinghouse and is scheduled to enroll at AU. Congrats to DB!

He probably would've been a backup in '09 at LSU, but Malzahn desperately needed a big receiver for our offense. Looking forward to seeing a lot of y'all again in BR this year ......

Thanks for the news. I was sorry to see what happened with his recruitment here. I wish him the best at Auburn (except one day a year). I'm glad he got qualified.

Good for him. I hope he has a great year, except one game. Then off to the NFL and the money.

He has big time talent, wish his grades had worked out earlier and he'd be with us

He's not "not here" because of grades. He's not here because Ruben Randle's dad had enough leverage to blatantly interfere with LSU football recruiting at the very last minute !!:angryfire.

Only after he wasn't here for grades for two years.

    caddilac,

What is your guess on how many years he stays at Auburn? I recon it depends on how soon he sees the field and how well he performs. I would not expect him to play 4 years.

One and done if he's projected well in the draft. Two at the most, I think.
