Man, if only St. Tebow played for us. He would have been able to help Demetrius as well as the fans with our issues.
I never wanted to post this, but now that Byrd is no longer a Tiger and he's found a new home/career in SD, I'll post it. A current player on the LSU football team told me that Demetrius Byrd was, "a cancer to the team" last year. Take that FWIW.
It pretty much looked that way as the season wore on. I was especially disappointed in him because I'd thought he was SO good on our NC team. I'm happy he's getting a chance at his dream of playing in the NFL, and I hope he truly recovers fully from his accident.
Didn't know specifically about Byrd or anyone in particular, but this type of stuff is what I referred to as "The ghost of Ryan Perriloux" in several posts last season. We had a problem. Someone referred to Xavier Carter's attitude; the two backups that got kicked off the team for assaulting another student or damaging his car; now this. I don't know if RP was the leader or the follower, but there really was a cancer on the team last year. I hope there's not much left on the team. A bunch of coaches left too but there's a new sheriff in town on D...and he's an assasin from Bulgaria !!
A really hate the word Cancer its ashame a man or even a young adult isn't man enough to think for its own and then people blame the other man and call him a cancer or whatever. I wish Byrd the best of luck and I hope he returns to full strength and have a great career and thankful he came to LSU.
He wasn't blaming Byrd for anything. He simply implied that Byrd was a problem in the locker room. I like Demetrius Byrd. Like I said, I didn't want to post it....but make no mistake, he didn't blame anything on Byrd.
Any word on the cause of his accident? Single car accident, hit a telephone pole. It's weird that nobody seems to be mentioning the accident.
