I agree, but our batters have had their heads up their butts, they are better than what they have shown tonight. You can't just stand there and look at perfect pitches.

I agree that this one falls squarely on Paul's shoulders should we lose. Coleman's arm was spaghetti out there. This is not a power hitting team so ALL of those pitches had to be absolutely terrible for Texas to jack them out. It's not like there are 40+ mph winds blowing out.

Coleman is your guy and has been all season.

To pull him after the 3 homers would have been foolish. It's not like he was giving up hit after hit and throwing a bunch of pitches.

They hit the ball solidly. Give Texas credit.

It's unfortunate Coleman wasn't on his game, because 4 runs ordinarily puts a W up on the board for LSU when he is starting.

    This ain't over btw.

You're right - this one's on the Boss - BUT he's sure made a lot of GOOD decisions to get us this far. Gotta have faith!

The Austin Wood guy on the mound (just came out) for Tejas is #10 in the NCAA with a 2.19 ERA.

Compare to LSU's best (Minimum 50 IP):
Coleman #27 in NCAA with a 2.76 ERA
Ranaudo #39 in NCAA with a 2.95 ERA

Ott has a 2.85 ERA (but not 50 IP, he only has 47.1 IP)

Another Tejas guy with a better ERA in 50 IP than any of our pitchers:
Taylor Jungmann (who was warming up in the bullpen and might come in) is #11 in the NCAA with a 2.27 ERA

Yeah, that is Taylor Jungmann coming in. He's taking the mound now.

I'm not saying that he had to be pulled after giving up the three homers, but it was obvious that he did not have his top stuff and in that heat, why not go to your middle relief?

Texas has some kind of luck....they beat USM because they couldn't throw a strike, and they're leading us because our ACE couldn't keep 'em in the park. Nobody should be that lucky.

    Dang.

would've thought he would've had McGhee pinch runner instead of Landry
