I didn't expect grossman ,the second worse starting QB in the NFL behind brooks, to light him up in fact he only completed 11 passes total. However Thomas was lit up like a christmas tree all season by every other QB/WR combo he met. Yes Fred Thomas is bad as a starting DB. But he will be quite fine as a nickel back. Not sure what you guys don't get about that. Makes no sense to release him when he can be valuable as a nickel.

I think his problems started last season. Before that he was actually a credible DB in this league, otherwise the Saints would not have signed him to an extension. Oh wait, we're talking about the "old" Saints. Sorry, carry on.
