Had we evened up the turnover ratio by either not having any or forcing a couple on them, we would've easily broken 40 points.

My point is -- MSU's defense didn't stop LSU. LSU stopped themselves.

The one thing I will admit to getting wrong was my prediction of a shutout. There's no way in hell I thought we'd give them a shot at 24 points. Again, lots of errors. But they went out and earned some of those yards and points as well.

Croom had a great gameplan. We're gonna see some of that stuff again very soon!

I agree, especially with passing to backs out of the backfield. They gained a ton of yardage on that and also gashed us on a few runs up the middle when we were without RJF and C. Alexander. Good thing about that is, now they we've seen it and know we're vulnerable to it, we'll get it fixed before FU. :thumb:

Things Tigers need to work on coming two weeks . . .

[1] Duh, what is a back going to do when he runs to an open spot past the line of scrimmage? (a) block (b) receive (c) if you missed (b), stop guessing and ask for an old playbook with all the pictures.

[2] Over 50 years ago when I played we called it TACKLE FOOTBALL for a reason! Shoulder pad on the opponent with the ball - down he goes!

CLM needs to get the diagram out which describes the proper method for making a tackle and give it to all the offending players who missed making the tackle vs MSU.

[3] Thank goodness for Bye Week. Cutrera needs to look again at his zigzag chart and reverse it during his time on the field during a game. Do we now call him wrong-way Jacob?

[4] I hate to keep harping on this year-after-year, BUT, why are my Tigers ceeding the middle part of the field to their opponents??? Haven't we spotted the other teams enough free yardage by now?

[5] This just in. Don't let them behind you - they will catch some balls thrown their way and SCORE!

    Hopefully that's enough for a two-week period.

I only had them scoring 3. The big kick return to open the game and the Quinn Johnson fumble were huge. We gifted them those 10 points. They didn't get points off the interception, but it flipped field position. Granted, turnovers are part of the game, but I'm with you, I definitely think we could have and should have broken 40 points. We are more than 10 points better than MSU.

Like has been mentioned, though, it was a let down AND a "W." I'm just glad it happened against a team we didn't have to bring our A game to beat.
