On a weekend where teams that decided not to bring it, this coaching staff had the players motivated and ready.

MSU brought it as much as they possibly could have and still could not make this game competitive in the end. Ultimately LSU was too much for them.

LSU matched MSU as far as intensity goes. And that's remarkable after coming off an emotional win over Auburn last week.

    Hat's off to The Hat.

    Job well done.

Now go correct the mistakes we made tonight and get ready to whip some Gator ass in 2 weeks.

I thought that the team really lacked intensity last night...

ditto here...thought it was very uninspired. all week long we've been hearing how good we are, how bad Miss St is and how we should have crushed em (we should have). They came out and played like they wanted it more than we did but could not overcome the talent disparity. I hope we turn in a better effort against Florida in two weeks or it's not gonna be pretty.

We will put in a better effort against Florida. That game against AU was incredibly physical and emotional last week. As a fan, I felt a letdown. I can't imagine that the team felt any differently.

I think the offense played with intensity. We just had a couple of turnovers and a batted down ball that ended our last 3 drives of the second quarter. It could have easily been 24 to 3 at the end of the first half.

The defense lost intensity with the loss of Francois and Alexander. But I am not sure how much of that was the coaching, since they decided to only rush 4 in the second half.

That's your problem right there. I read the prediction thread and chuckle to myself. After a 4 quarter struggle against a good Auburn team, we have to strap it on against the team that held them to 3 points the week before and suddenly we are going to put up anywhere from 38 to 50 points on them. Just look at the events of this weekend. When will you learn that nothing goes as planned? Take the win and enjoy being undefeated. I'm sure the Trojan, Gator and UGA fans would.

We played our letdown game last night . . . and we won.

    Don't worry, be happy.

Mississippi St is a much better team than what we had seen before our game against them. They played sharp & had a great game plan for us, but we made adjustments & got the W.

I still think Les Miles likes to play things close to the vest...

If he was in a contest to see who had the longest d!ck, he'd only pull out enough to win......
