i started to vote no anonymously just to f with saltys head. but as much as i like to give my bro a hard time, i cant vote no on that! yes.
I don't know if he should be fired now or "promoted" to somewhere else, but it is time for a change...Wilson and Gonzales notwithstanding. I voted yes, he should go...but we may need more time for a thorough search or for the right guy to finish his obligations/contract somewhere else first. That's why I think Crowton stays for one more year. Could be an interesting offseason. The secret headhunting committee needs to get to work.
I am not generally a "fire the coach" kinda guy, and last year it was obvious the experiment with co dc's was a failure and had to be replaced. I voted to fire Crowton. I think JJ's inexperience has hurt greatly, and that is CGC only defense of the performance of the offense. It is not CGC fault that we had no upperclassmen at QB for 2 years, that was on Saban and Miles recruiting failure. But the o-line looked bad, we were never able to consistently run the ball. Play calling in the final 2 minutes was poor, clock management was dreadful. There are ample reasons to demand a change on this one. Just an interesting thought. Coach Gonzales just came from Fla. They prepared for LSU. I wonder what HE can tell Crowton about what the opposing SEC defensive staffs see, and how they prepare to defend a Crowton offense. If Gary listens, that would be invaluable information. Is the play that predictable by the personnel on the field?
I voted to fire him. Just finished reading Dandy Don's update today, and he said the following: "...I do believe Crowton and Studrawa will be retained for the 2010 season..." The only reasons I can come up with as to why he would stay are his buyout and lack of any decent candidates to replace him. The question is, if he stays, does CLM exert more control over the offense? I'm sure he recognizes the same BS can't continue. :geauxtige
I say fire him. I don't like whatever he has tried to accomplish this year. I doubt he will be shown the door. In that case, I hope that he changes the gameplan drastically and tones down his genius mind so that the rest of us mere mortals can understand it
I think the better question is "WILL Crowton be fired?" I don't think that anyone in their right mind would say that we should keep him around.
other question is everyone that is saying how they posted voted yes. so who voted no? id like to hear the reasoning. am i missing something i should be considering about the man?
