    there is some interesting stuff on that list.

    1. Norm Chow --> UCLA
    2. June Jones --> Houston
    3. Major Applewhite --> Southern Miss and SMU
    4. Jon Tenuta --> SMU

    1. I love Norm Chow. (He is the reason why the Titans are one of my fav teams in the NFL behind the Cowboys.) I would like to see him take that job to start to steal from USC.

    2. June Jones? Houston? WTF? If you're going to coach at a mid-major that has no shot to win the national title, you might as well do it in paradise. If he takes this job, he is an idiot.

    We will see what the Hawaii program is made of in their next 2 games.

    vs. Georgia in the Dome
    @ Florida to kickoff 2008

    3. Is this serious? The dude did a less than good job in Tuscaloser in his 1st go around. Their offense started hot and had flashes of being really good, but as the year progressed and teams schemed onto his tendencies, they got stale.

    4. No. 4 may be the last hurdle standing in LSU's pursuit of their D. Coordinator. Let's hope they choose Chan Gailey, who has Texas roots from his Cowboys days.

    The scuttle here in Atlanta is that Duke offered Paul Johnson a 4-deal at $2.1 Million per year ..... so, yeah, for that kind of cheddar, I'd coach anywhere in D-I.

    Dunno about crowton. Somehow, I don't see him leaving LSU after such a short duration unless it was back to the PAC-10, but stranger things have happened.

    Crowton bombed as a HC at BYU, so I'm not sure he could get any better offers than a Duke-type program right now.

    Being an offensive/defensive guru does not guarantee success as a HC.

    Actually I think Duke is a bad job. Anyone who is aware of how they treated their lacrosse coach without ANY reason whatsoever would be wary of the "corporate culture" there. Coach K is immune only because of his huge presence, but the current president of Duke is very anti-athletics and of course the faculty HATES athletes. I would imagine that a coach would need megabucks to take that dead-end job.

    I pretty much agree, Duke would be a bad gig. Gary needs two more hot years, then a good story why things went south at BYU, I learned from my mistakes story, get a reputation as a great recruiter and developer of QB's at LSU, and snag a better HC position.
