All the articles posted here and elsewhere I have found 1 thing that is always the same in all of them.... everyone interviewed or quoted is saying..."NOT THAT I AM AWARE" or "AS FAR AS I AM AWARE" No one even Crowton himself has stepped up and flat out denied the rumors.

It's not about actually paying for him to leave and picking up a new quality coach, its about the politics of asking for more money from the legislature when we just paid someone 800k to leave and sit on their butt. It doesn't even matter that the LSU Athletic Department is essentially separate from the Academic side of things when it comes to funding because the Athletic Department donates money to the Academic side. When they go asking for money or a reduce in the budget cuts from the legislature, the first thing they would say is "Well you just paid 800k to leave and are paying X number of $ to do that job. Why not ask your athletic department to make up for the funds being cut by us?" If a private donor pays it then they can't use that argument.

Dear god I had my hopes up last night that this would happen today. Then during the day I read some reports but was hoping that it was just another Miles smoke screen. Now I am crushed...another year of mediocrity staring us in the face!!!

Rumor crushed - ^(*(*% As fans that buy the season tickets, buy tons of merchandise, drive all over the southeast supporting this team and university, etc...we deserve better than an offense rated #112/120 which showed ZERO improvement throughout the season...likely more regression than progression. I know it is a dead horse I am beating but this a*s clown needs to be shown the door! I am sick of it! Miles HAS to have VERY GOOD assistants to win and Crowton isn't worthy of an OC job at a non-BCS school, let alone one in the SEC. How, how, how can this university, the flagship school of the state, not be able to afford dumping a lousy OC that is dragging down our program? If any other member of the faculty wasn't performing and showed steady decline in performance, they would be fired. He needs to be gone!!!
