:geaux: This. Plus players that are dinged up have a chance to heal up physically and the team as a whole gets a much needed break after a grueling regular season. They're a lot fresher. A big factor I noticed in the game was how much better the OL performed with both Blackwell and Hurst back on the right side of the line. First time since game one and it made a difference. The extra time off gave Blackwell time to get back in game shape and Hurst ankle had the time to heal. We sure ran the ball well and those two had a big impact, IMO. :LSU231:
I know where you're trying to go with this Kal, but fact remains we were 10-2, with close losses to two SEC rivals, one which was the eventual MNC. You also have to factor in Miles is 16-1 after a loss, so he bounces back. As for how close were, and fishing for faults, a lot of teams were close, but fell short. Good thing Miles is fixing our issues.
