Miles needs to look at Dana Holgorsen at Oklahoma State. One year as OC there and two years as OC at the University of Houston. Is also a quarterback coach. His total offense and passing game has been outstanding at both schools.

LSU's offense was at the bottom this year. Can't do much worse.

The bowl was the first time the OL was able to open up any holes. One game in 3 years is not very good. Since Stud took over our running backs have stuggled to gain 2 and 3 yards.

Yes...Les probably threatened to hit him with that silver hammer if he didn't vacate his office. Hoy!

No we wont. JJ and JL in the latter half of the season were both V.A.S.T.L.Y. improved compared to the previous 2.5 years. Make no mistake, the QBs were millstones around Crowton's neck. The new OC will be walking onto a team loaded with talent, plus 2 senior QBs who at least should be "adequate" and a potential new "star" transfer QB. No comparison to the hand Crowton was dealt.

Interesting in the NOLA article that Crowton didn't include "the fans" as part of what he enjoyed during his time here. Not that I blame him, believe me. May some of you end up in a hell where you cant get out until you have a 10 win SEC season with freshman JJ and JL as QBs, while listening to choruses singing about what a loser you are.

Also interesting was the last sentence where he talked about being able to set the offense up the way he wanted to in Maryland, like in some other places he's been. Ie implying he wasnt allowed to do it completely his way with Les.

I'm too far removed to know what was going on behind the scenes with Les and Crowton, or what their relationship was.

In any event I'm satisfied with how this has shaken out, in terms of Les not being forced to fire anyone against his will or to sate the fan's blood-lust.

And now? Golly gee, only 7 months till some fans start bitching about the new OC.

Hah, I was 7 months too late in my prediction of when the bitching would start about the new OC. I'll only count this one as a half-bitch because the guy isnt even hired yet (if at all).

Lets see here. Two possibilities: either all these HC's that keep hiring Crowton are stOOpid, or the fan's doing the bitching are stOOpid.
