Is it possible that the extension Miles got from Alleva would be on the condition that he got rid of Crowton?

Tennessee, FSU, Oklahoma, Miami, tOSU, LSU (2003 version), USC, Texas (maybe doesn't qualify), Florida (2006 version, maybe a stretch, but Chris Leak is no spread QB), Alabama. I'd say most of 'em.

Everyone is building there defenses to stop the spread (smaller, faster players). This leaves them vulnerable to a power running game.

    + 1.
With that being said what style fits best with our personnel right now? With Mett as QB I would say Pro. Also we really only have one big reciever(RR) which is needed ( instead of smaller, quicker recievers in a spread) in a pro style.
If Jefferson is QB his best style is spread. Not saying Jefferson is fast but if he makes decisions like he did against ANM he can be a good QB. The problem with him earlier in the season IMO is that he was INDECISIVE and HESITATED when running and passing.
    We shall see

One thing about that link that I was somewhat surprised in: Ridley expected to declare for the draft.

Now, I know that RB's have a shorter shelf life than almost all other players, but Ridley has only had but one season of being a featured back. So his "hits taken" is realitively minimal.

I think he's a "hoss" though. I guess with guys like Ingram coming out, I would think Ridley would at this point be nothing higher than a 3rd-4th round pick. Now, now! Don't hate on me for saying that. I'm baseing my opinion of that at how finicky the NFL can be during the draft. Seems in Ridley's case, he's been over-shadowed on the national scene by a few other RB's.

But, if he decided to go now, I think recent decisions by Charles Scott (who came back only to see his draft stock fall big time thanks to a horrid team offense) is what ultimately stick in his mind. For a while, guys like Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, LaRon, Corey Webster, Michael Clayton and Kevin Faulk, came back for their Sr. year and improved a great deal and it HELPED their stock.... But then things like Scott and Ciron Black happen and both players struggled to even get a chance at the NFL (did Ciron EVER get a tryout??).

Having said that, Spencer Ware DEFINATELY showed he's Ridley's equal... At least on any given day. Ware, Ford, Blue...and Hill and Hilliard MORE than give us what we need in the running game.

I think you're exactly right, and I think he needs a good combine even for that. I don't think he has the break away speed of the elite NFL backs, but he is a load and does have good vision.
