Is Crowton implying that he couldn't have the wide open offense due to the "smaller" playbook as a result of the QB's limitations? and /or differences with Miles' philosophy?

We all knew this. Why is it a problem for him to say it?

Crowton was a OC, not a QB coach. Jimbo was a OC/QB coach, same with kRags. Many LSU Head coaches, past and present would call for the OC to run clock (Shorten the game). Crowton was throwing out plays with no rhyme or reason, seeing what would stick. A play would gain 8-10 yards, then you wouldn't see it again.

Duh. Anyone who thinks otherwise has never seen a Gary Crowton-run offense.

Maybe it wasn't his offense, but he was the one calling the plays (most of them :yelwink2:) and he was the one working with our QBs.

What was that mess at the end of the Tennessee game last year?

Crowton is as much responsible for our offense the last 2 years as anyone esle.
