Shea Dixon tweeted to me that he expects Crowton to be back next year, too. I just don't get it... With the grief Miles has taken for him for clock management issues, three years of bad O, etc...why willingly retain him? Alleva was like Pontius Pilate yesterday washing his hands of it all.... It will be a tough year next year for LSU fans, there won't be a lot of enthusiasm heading into the Oregon game if this all holds true. I'm still holding out hope that this is all a ruse for recruiting and that a change will be made (Crowton moves on) after the bowl game. No way the law of averages doesn't catch up and we continue to win close games in spite of our offense, if Crowton is retained.
Watching the offense next season is going to painful, but i'm a glutton for punishment, so bring it on. I would say, hey our offense can't get much worse, but I said that before this season, and it did. We are on line for 2 passing touchdowns next season.
I just feel sorry for any skill position players, particularly Russell Shepard... They deserve better...
Can't post the link because I'm on my phone, but if you read the article on nola.com Miles answers this question. Note the title of the article "Miles not planning on any offensive staff changes", yet in the article there is no quote that specifically states that by Miles. He, IMO, answers our question by not answering the question. The answer is in what he doesn't say.
